The Chicago Department of Housing was established in 1980 to provide financial assistance to homeowners and developers to preserve and create affordable housing options. Working with other City agencies, non-profit and for-profit community development corporations and other community organizations, the Department employs innovative ways to finance affordable housing projects.

Tri-Merge/Free Credit Report
Provides free report that merges results of all three above national consumer credit bureaus. Can access report free for first 30 days, which is considered "trial period." After trial period, monthly fee will be charged if membership is not terminated.
